Cheap and Free ways to get traffic to your Etsy Website

Etsy is an eCommerce site that specializes in helping artists of different fields, reach out to customers and sell their products. Etsy is not a setup and go kind of eCommerce store instead it requires you to put a lot of initial work to help your store rank better. This means generating traffic and optimizing your store so that Google and other search engines rank your store higher and in return increase your profits. By utilizing the following steps, you will slowly increase your ranking and drive more traffic to your store.

1. Optimize Your  Etsy Store for Search Engines

Hover over your Etsy store name and you will see a link called "Info & Appearance". In here, fill out all the information asked, especially "shop title" section. Include keywords related to your store or the product your selling in all fields. Keep your character count under 160 for your store title otherwise Google and other search engines will cut out your description when displayed.

2. Blog about your Etsy crafts

Nothing gets indexed faster and is easier to use like a blog. Sign up for a free blog account either with Blogger or WordPress and blog away about your products. Remember to always post a link that points back to your Etsy store. This is a quick and easy way to get traffic and increase sales.

3. Tweet or Facebook  your Etsy sales

If you don't have a twitter account, I would advise you to create one. This is another method of getting your followers to see what is new in your store and exactly what you're selling. If your twitter account doesn't have many followers, try using services such as "fiverr". Fiverr is a cool way of paying someone five bucks to almost do anything for you. Search for someone with many twitter followers and use their service to post a link to your site.

4. Write an Article about what you are selling on Etsy

Spend an hour or two creating a unique, well constructed article talking about your products and post it to high PR article sites such as Ezinearticles or Articlebase. When writing, remember to keep your article at a minimum 600 words otherwise it won't get accepted. Also add links at the end of your work pointing back to your Etsy store.

5. Create How too Videos and Upload to YouTube

Another easier way of getting massive traffic to your store, is by using your skills and creating how to videos. YouTube is a gateway to millions of visitors a day looking for something in line with their interests or needs. Use programs such as Camtasia to create your videos and directly upload them to YouTube or any other popular video media site. Again don't forget to add a link in your description.

6. Outsource Services

If you're not an internet guru like many people out there don't give up. You can always outsource your projects to professionals and get everything done at an affordable rate. I recommend using "Elance , which is amazingly cheap and all you do is submit your request and qualified professionals bid on your project and in the end, you chose who to reward the project. Benefit of this method, is that you can set your budget and bidders are forced to give you quotes within that budget range.
There is no particular order in completing these steps, instead try and focus on completing each one correctly. In the end, all I can tell you is that by following these steps, you have a great chance of seeing your website/store rank higher in the search engines plus drive massive amount of traffic directly to your store. Good luck.

How to sell your crafts at craft shows

Do your research.
Not all craft shows are created equally so you want to make sure you ask around to get suggestions from other vendors and inquire with the organizer of the craft show. Some questions you may want to ask are:
  • Is this an annual craft show and if so, what's the traffic generally like? It's always nice to know that a craft show has a proven track record, there's less risk for you this way.

  • Is this a juried event? Although these can be more difficult to get into, they work in your favor and they generally only accept one or two vendors in each category. This means you wont be competing with multiple vendors selling the same items as you. If it isn't a juried event, make sure you ask them the other type of vendors are participating, look for a good variety.

  • How do you advertise the event? If they don't have a good answer for you, you may want to consider choosing a different craft show. A lot of effort goes into creating a successful event so you should make sure they've set up social media accounts for the craft show and have plans to either advertise it or get some media coverage.

  • How much is a table? Craft shows can cost anywhere from $25 to $500 and up for the bigger shows. Consider the price of your items and how many you'll need to sell to cover the cost for the show and make a profit. If a table or booth is out of your price range but you really want to participate in the event, ask if they offer half tables or booths that you could share with another vendor.
Make sure you're prepared. Once you've chosen a craft sale to be a part of, you'll want to leave yourself enough time to get ready for it. Here are some things to keep in mind:
  • Start with your end goal and work backwards. How much money would you like to make at the craft show to cover your costs and make a nice profit? Once you have that number, figure out how many of your products you would need to sell to reach that goal and then get started.

  • If this is your first craft show, you'll need to consider how you're going to display your products. You'll have limited space so you'll need to get creative when thinking of ways to optimize it.

  • Make sure you ask what's included with your space. You may be responsible for bringing things such as a tablecloth and chairs.

  • Leave enough time to tag and price all your products, create signage for your table and pack them up for transportation. You want to make it easy for people to shop your table and recognize who you are.

  • Make sure you have all the necessities; bags, business cards, cash to make change, food, water, something to keep track of your sales and an emergency kit to make any last minute fixes.
Enjoy the day and try to find some time to walk around and meet some of the other vendors either before or after the show.

Using fundraising to build your Direct Sales Party Plan Business

Holding a fundraiser as a direct sales distributor is an excellent way to find new customers and possibly even a new distributor.
Fundraisers are a win-win for both sides. The group or organization raises funds and you find folks who like, use and buy your products.
It is always my suggestion that you start with small, local organizations. You'll find more support, have a way to work one-on-one with the group and you'll begin to build a local client base.
If you have business cards, add the phrase "Fundraising Expert" or "Ask Me About Fundraisers" alongside your name and phone number. This lets anyone holding your card know that they can raise funds through you.
Prepare a packet to give to potential groups , schools and organizations. Your packet should contain an introduction letter, an earnings sample chart, a catalog, a business card and any flyers you plan on giving to the fundraising participants. For example, I give the following letter to all participants to show to those who might make a purchase:
Dear Customer,
Thank you for considering a purchase with Tupperware products. The money we raise from this fundraiser will be used to _______________________. Our goal is to raise $______. We hope to make this purchase by ___________.
I fill in the blanks based on information I collect from the group and then on each catalog I staple a copy of this form.
As you begin hosting fundraisers, collect testimonials from the groups. Include copies of these testimonials in the packet you prepare. If you personally have never done a fundraiser, ask your upline if he/she has a testimonial they can provide to you that shares the company experience. It's always wonderful to read that another organization was pleased with the company products and service.
If your company does not offer a fundraising program, create your own. If you earn 30% commission on sales, consider giving the group 20% for their fundraising efforts. This allows 10% of the sales commission to be used to purchase the supplies you'll provide the group. Remember this is not a moneymaker for you, but rather a moneymaker for the group and a way for you to find new customers.
At the close of the fundraiser, prepare a thank you form that will go into each order. Your thank you should be very simple and say "Thank you for your product purchase. If you have any questions or comments about the products you can reach me at ________. If you would like to make an additional purchase or receive information about selling ____ I would be happy to help you" Then sign your name.
If you are having the orders direct shipped to the organization or to the individual customers, consider sending out a personal thank you via postal mail.
Begin marketing fundraisers and watch your sales increase and your team grow.

Party Plan Success Secrets: The Alternative to Cold Calling

Don't do what you don't want to do is number one on Party Plan Success Secrets List!
Why is it that prospecting just doesn't work like it used to? I remember when the Avon lady used to ring my bell, and I enjoyed answering the door and talking with her.
Those were the days where people had time. But these days people are holding at least one full time job and maybe more (if they're lucky), and those who are at home are in no place to be spending money!
Does cold calling work these days?
Maybe a little. But definitely not worth your time when you compare to the alternative to cold calling: the party plan success secrets of online marketing.
The problem with cold calling is that nobody answers their phone anymore. We all have cell phones and caller ID. Do you answer your phone if the caller is "unknown"?
And today's preferred alternative to cold calling online marketing...
Why? Because of Rule Number One!
Rule Number One of the Party Plan Success Secrets: You can't do what you don't like to do.
Because you just won't keep doing it. No matter now diligent you think you are, sooner or later you'll lose that passion that you need to keep the momentum. And, multilevel marketing has to do with looking "attractive" so people will want to buy from you.
Appearing Attractive is the Second Rule of  Party Plan Success Secrets... You must appear attractive enough for people to want to follow you...
Are you more inclined to buy from that attractive girl online where you inquired for information and she was nice enough to call you back, or some random guy calling you at dinner hour or when you're on your way out the door to work?
Granted, multilevel marketing is a people business, and people tend to buy and come aboard with people who they know, like and trust. However, most of us are finding our friends online these days... and some of us even find out spouses online!
And why is it that not doing what you don't like to do number one of all Party Plan  success secrets? Because the whole idea behind network marketing is to get people to want to join your business. What do you think people will want to do once they find out that the way you make your money is by spending all day on the phone (assuming you don't like it)?
Is that attractive? NO!!
Rule Number 3 of the Party Plan  success secrets is to have a system in place where it becomes easy for people to follow you...
When you can show people how to market through autopilot, you've conquered the third of the Party Plan  success secrets!
People really are secretly begging to be led. If you ask me, I would be far more likely to join someone in their business if they showed me how to market online as compared with "we'll help you sell that $2200 worth of product after you purchase it".
And just how do they do that? "Make a list of 100 people you know, and ask them who they know... yada yada yada". That's where I'd say, "I don't want to join a business to become a telemarketer".
So if you're convinced that you do want to take your business online to achieve the ultimate MLM success... That leads us to the most important of all MLM Success secrets...
How in the heck do you do it?
Here are my 3 easy MLM success secrets for online marketing...
1. Begin with a blog.
While  marketing has to do with getting people one on one to like and trust you, your personal blog is the "internet you". Once people start following you and reading about what you have to say and pay close attention to the videos you embed in your blog, they feel they know you. Then, when that magic time comes when they call you to find out more about your opportunity, they do feel like they know and like you!
Bluehost.com Web Hosting $6.95
2. Market your blog.
All that blog posting is just a waste of time unless someone is out there reading what you have to say! There are different ways and strategies of doing this. You'll want to check out my blog post about the blogging for traffic for more information about this.
3. Use an auto-responder to keep in touch with your leads.
Constant Contact email  makes it easy and affordable to build strong relationships with your customers. Try our FREE 60-Day Trial.
Keeping in touch with your leads on autopilot is a cool party plan  success secret!
Most people need to be approached, on average, seven times before they choose to purchase something or join a business. Seven times? OMG! Who on earth would ever do that? No wonder the drop off rate with party plan  is so high!
An email auto-responding system will get in touch with your leads with the emails that you create yourself so your leads will get a response immediately (while they're hot)!
I also advocate email broadcasts on a regular basis providing real value to your lead. Prove to them that you're their friend who wants to help. Reveal proof of your personal accomplishments and tell about the system you have put in place to make their life easier.
Bottom line, everyone wants to make money. And, nobody wants to work hard. When you can present a system that will reveal how you can make money with little effort, the battle is pretty much won, and you're on your way to making that new friend/customer!
If you're looking for an easy way to promote your business online with a front end eye catcher with built in sales pages, you're in the right spot. Simply click the following link to access a proven system for MLM success secrets for online marketing. A system that not only trains you how to market online but pays 100% commissions to help you fund your business is a no-brainer!

And of course you can increase the amount of money that you earn also by building a team of representatives under you that you will earn a small commission from their sales as well (up to 12% in fact).
There are also lots of different performance bonuses from holidays, cars and even big cash payments - although you need to be doing exceptionally well to get those, but it's nice to know that it's possible. Even the big earning representatives at Avon had to start right at the beginning just like everyone else.
At the very low end, you could just sell to friends and family and make enough to keep you stocked in all your favourite Avon products. Or you could decide to make it a really home business and actively seek out customers who are willing to place orders with your directly, or from your representative website online.
Now that Avon has gone online, it's a much easier way to get people to buy from you, all you need to do is give them your web address and Avon will handle the order and shipping for you. Of course you still need to do the groundwork to find the customers so that they know your website address - but having a website makes things a lot easier and frees up a lot of the time spent packing orders and delivering them yourself - time that you could spend finding more customers and making more money for yourself.
So whether you want to build a huge Avon empire by building your Avon downline, or just want to sell to your friends and family (or even just buy for yourself) it's possible with Avon.

How to Build Your Home Party Business to 6 Figures in Just 15 Hours Per Week

Susie Nelson built, and maintained, one of the top organizations in her home party sales company and became its second Independent National Sales Manager (a level that was only reached by six consultants in the history of the U.S. company).

From the day she made the decision and commitment to build her business and organization to the top level in her company, and to create a six-figure residual annual income, Susie focused her efforts, developed and implemented a strategic plan, and created systems to build her business quickly.

Here is what some are saying
I have been selling candles 12 years and recently I came across Susie Nelson's as a DS trainer. I have found her instruction credible to a successful DS business. This book does not make it complicated to work your business in 15 hours a week and if you follow her simple plan, there should not be a reason for lack of business. This book is basic, easy to read and simple to follow, especially for a new or seasoned Direct Seller. She teaches you to step back to the basics and not make it a science project, which many of us tend to do the longer we sell. As a more laid back personality, I did not find her approach to be an "in your face" or "do it my way" leader. She seems to be able to fit into the mix of personalities that everyone would be able to approach without offending. I would highly recommend her book to anyone who is considering a party plan or currently direct seller.

7 quick tips to get started with your jewelry home party biz

Ready to start your jewelry party home business?
Here are 7 tips to get you started:
1. Know Your Products: You'll want to study the  business catalog closely and get to know the products which you will be selling . In my business there are over 500 pieces so obviously this is going to take some time. Give yourself the time but don't put off the studying. This will make you look professional and knowledgeable at your next show which will impress and please your potential customers!
2. Know Your Specials: Most jewelry party home business companies will offer specials. They may be ongoing specials or monthly. Make sure you know them. Study your companies materials and learn what specials are coming up so you can promote ahead of time as well.
3. Know Your Compensation: When people see how much fun you're having selling jewelry they will start asking you how they can do it too. Make sure you learn the companies compensation plan so that you can quickly answer questions and share in their excitement at the possibility of a new venture!
4. Use Visuals: People are visual learners. See what visuals your company offers and print them off. For example, our company offers sheets showcasing our rings and our necklace sliders. They show the products all in one spot which is visually appealing and also very useful to someone trying to decide which one to buy.
5. Start Talking: Tell everyone you know about your business. You'll need to get booking that first party so start going through a list of who you can contact about hosting a party to help kick off your business. No need to be pushy or intrusive. As you go about your day share your excitement of your new business. Make sure you have a catalog on you when you do though!
6. Find Support: Your sponsor is your first point of support but there are likely many others. Is there a monthly meeting you can attend? Are there training and support materials online? Is there a company number you can call when stuck? Find out and have this information handy for when you need it down the line.
7. Be Prepared: Look for checklists you can use to help you have everything ready for your parties. Our company offers printable checklists to help ensure you have everything you need when you head out to a party.
Congratulations on making the decision to start a jewelry party home business! I know you'll find it to be a rewarding choice

Make money at home by selling purses and handbags

It probably goes without saying, but in today's economy families need to do everything they can to get ahead with their finances. While it used to be that a family could get by with just Mom or Dad going to work every day, we now live in a world where the "stay at home" factor is quickly diminishing. If you're like many stay at home parents, you just hate the idea of leaving the kids in daycare , but the pressing financial requirements of just getting by mean you need another source of income, but where from?
If you're like many women, you may have heard through the grapevine about the growing popularity of purse parties. As a purse party hostess you can easily generate incremental income for your family, all while doing something that you really enjoy! The premise is simple - women love purses and hangbags, and they love to talk about fashion. You simply setup a party with friends, neighbors, acquaintances, and so on, and have them come over to check out different purses from all sorts of companies.
What's the pay-off for your work in setting up a purse party? The companies selling the purses give you a cut of profits, all from the comfort of your own home. With so many different fashion oriented purse companies out in the world today the revenue opportunities are unlimited, and many home purse party hostesses can bring in upwards of $1,000 a month for part time work, all from their own living rooms.
If you're one of the truly enterprising, a purse or a pocketbook  party can also give you entry into other home hostess markets, such as jewelry - both costume and high end, make-up, purse accessories such as designer handles, chains, cell phone holders, and beyond, all the way to actual clothing!
So how much does it cost to you to get started with a purse party? It really varies from company to company, but the majority of purse businesses that offer such a package can get you started for anywhere from $50, all the way up to an initial $500 investment in inventory. While that may seem steep, there are two things that can help allay the cost. First off, the inventory can be returned if it's still in pristine condition should you find that your friends and family don't have an interest in what you're doing. Second, you can choose to pick a purse for yourself and keep it, even though you paid the purse company a wholesale price!
Alright, so now you may be saying, "Great! Sign me up," but not so fast. We have a few other tips on how to create a successful purse party. The biggest tip of all is to remember that you'll be networking with friends and family, so you can't push too hard and seem like an overbearing jerk! Second off, just like any other party you can spend a few dollars to provide refreshments and some snacks. You don't have to bust the bank, but a little bit of crackers and cheese served with lemonade can create a much better environment to get people talking about how much they love your party. Secondly, set some mood music! Again, the thing is to create a light-hearted environment where people you know can mingle, so think of this as a time to hob-knob with the added benefit of making yourself a bit of money.
What other things can you do to increase the success of your efforts? Think about things you like to hear about. Talk to your friends on Facebook about your efforts, sign-up those interested to get e-mail updates on new purse styles you're going to be offering. The purse companies are always showing off new things. Ask people to bring a friend to get special discounts, and even more importantly create a relationship with the companies you're representing - talking to someone on that end can work wonders to get you access to special offers, limited edition styles, and so forth!

Scentsy home business opportunity

Scentsy is another Home business on the market which are giving regular folks like me and you a chance to better our life financially. As a Scentsy consultant, your responsibility is always to market their products. Just like each of the other multi level marketing companies available, 97% of the people in Scentsy is not going to generate income in the business. In this post, I am going to be reviewing what is responsible for this failure and how you can push yourself to the few 3% that will earn money in the Scentsy Multilevel marketing business.
Furthermore about the Scentsy review, the Scentsy MLM or direct selling model of the corporation started in 2004. They've already been increasing at about a yearly average of over 300% in revenue and the number of their consultants. The business owners are Orville and Heidi Thompson. As much as I understand, these are people of integrity. So the leadership should be the least of your concern.
Furthermore on the Scentsy review, to properly evaluate your income potential, it is quite important for you to examine the marketability of Scentsy products. I will be very honest with you here. I just can't see myself selling fragrances and warmers. These are what Scentsy markets. What is that marketability of Scentsy product line? They are not the best that I have seen out there and mind you, I have reviewed hundreds of Mlm companies. Nevertheless', you can make money with the Scentsy direct selling if you learn the required skills necessary to make money in Scentsy direct selling business.

How To Be Successful Scentsy consultant

To be successful with the Scentsy business, you must continually work on yourself. The world is filled with negativities. Bringing garbage to your Scentsy business will only draw you back. The only way to be the person that you need to become in order to make money with the Scentsy business is by reading books, listening to audio books. Work on your mindset. This is the most important key to success in the network marketing business. Go to barns and nobles. Play the audio books when going to your regular Job if you still have one. Work on yourself. What this does is it market you as leader. It is funny to me that wealthy people like Mr. Donald Trump are still reading books and working on themselves.
You must leverage the internet. I don't get what people don't get relating to this. Go on the internet search engine now and research the very best earners in Scentsy. I guarantee you that you will find their website that belongs to them. I am not talking about the Scentsy's replicated website. That only market Scentsy. You need a website or online system that will brand your and market you as a leader. People only work with leaders that they know and trust. If you wish to generate income like the top earners, you should do the things they're doing.
Lastly, you should have an online lead generation system. Generating 10-30 leads per day has become extremely easy now in this internet age. You have to have online lead generation system that will collect the leads for you. These are definitely targeted leads. These leads are folks that are searching for what you are selling. To make money with Scentsy, you need to be creating more leads than you'll be able to possibly talk to per day.

Home party plans  or Network Marketing covers broad assortment of companies and compensation plans but the one typical factor is that in order to succeed you will have to sponsor others. It is simply a reality of this industry that many people that you are sponsoring for MLM are searching for a way to alter their lives for the better however you have to keep them encouraged or the anxiety of everyday life will keep them from spending the time needed to build any sort of side company particularly one that has a great deal of obstacles like MLM.
Exactly how will you do your recruiting for your home party MLM business
The good news is for us it is much easier to construct leads and references online than in the old days (simply a few years ago) when all recruiting for MLM was done face to face in meetings with your so called cozy warm market. So just what tools will you make use of?
  • Great Blog Content
  • Online Advertising
  • Sales Funnel
  • Auto-responders
  • Email & Telephone call
Let's examine each one. Great Blog content helps in your recruiting for MLM because a lot of individuals that are looking for to generate income online with a MLM company are looking for information initially. In fact, they are looking for details from individuals who have actually been successful and those that failed and they search for companies that are trustworthy and are paying the MLM sponsors on time. So fantastic content on your blog posts should feature reviews and viewpoints of MLM companies, data, repayment and payment information too your personal opinion.
Online advertising is essential to reaching people and getting them to read your blog site or view a presentation about your opportunity. You can pick from numerous opportunities to advertise from Google AdWords to Ezine advertising co-ops as well as solos ads and mass email companies.
Recruiting for MLM effectively requires a great sales funnel  to get the readers interest and have them leave their email address and information for following up with them. One of the sector's leading Sales funnels is MLSP (my lead system professional) Their system has a tremendous figure of exercise from market leaders as well as a terrific system for catching attention and event leads.
Auto Responders are another vital step in sponsoring for MLM. You will conserve a lot of time and mostly automate your lead follow up. With a service like Aweber you can set up all of your email follow up messages and determine when to deliver each one. Customers appreciate when you do some of the thinking for them. These hot holiday selling tips work only when you have a service mindset in your head and customer satisfaction in your heart.
1. Think Multiples! When adding up the order, ask if they have anyone else who might like this item as a gift and suggest, "Do you have anyone else on your gift list that is around the same price range? You might save time picking up a few of these for others, too?" If the item is for personal use, consider the convenience of having one of the items in several locations. For example: the office, the car, the kitchen.
2. McDonald's It! When you order a hamburger, the question that follows is, "Would like fries with it?" No one gets offended by the question and the person asking is not offended if you decline. Make a list of the most popular items that your customers order and be ready to inquire if they would like to pair with it?
3. Amazon It! When a customer orders a book on Amazon, the company always populates a list of related material, as well as listing additional customers who purchased the product. People tend to rely of third party endorsements, thus in this case your customers. Think about the items your customers are selecting and be ready to recommend, "I see you ordered (insert product), many of my other customers who ordered this... also ordered (insert)."
4. Upsell It! If your customer orders a single item, recommend the set where applicable. Many items in your product line are matched or complementary pairs. It might mean a ring that matches a bracelet, a kitchen tool designed to enhance a specific bowl, or a skin cleanser with a toner. In order for your customer to get the full benefit, make them fully aware of the compatibility.
5. Sweeten It! How many times have you been tempted to add a luscious dessert on because the server's delivery was too tempting to turn down? When you are adding up your orders, put a sweet cap on the shopping experience by showing a few of your lower priced items that you did not have an opportunity to talk about during your presentation. These add-ons can be the sweetest way to end a good meal, or turn a transaction into a relationship based on recommendations that enhance the service you provide.

How to make calls to potential home party hostesses

Are you struggling to call your potential home business hostesses?

Becoming Organized and Productive
Is a challenge when you get started with something new, there's just too much to learn and do.
Staying focused is will help with productivity. This is a problem most network marketers face. They spend time doing a million things at once when all they need is to focus on one thing at a time and get good at it before moving on
Consistency in practicing a new skill will add to your productivity and  overall success. If you have the focus and discipline to be consistent your efforts will be more effective and you will gain your desired results.
Here are some examples:
• Write things down and plan everything
• Create some "unavailable" time where you aren't accessible
• Plan your phone time make the important calls first
• Limit the number of times you stop to read and respond to e-mail
• And tune out the media
Once you know about getting organized it will help you with prioritizing your calling and exploding your production.
Prioritizing Your Calling and Exploding Your Production
Prioritizing is not an exact science, but there are several things to keep in mind that should help you become a more efficient, and less stressed.
• Following up the "no answer" cause you'll have a better chance of reaching them
• Then following up on appointments
• Then call new leads
Some things to consider doing when prioritizing are:
• Make a list so that you see everything in one place; don't try to organize their tasks in their head.
• Consider time constraints and what calls needs to get done today and what can wait until tomorrow or next week. Everything may be important eventually, but some things are more important now.
• Re-prioritize if necessary because priorities change. As they do then update your list, you will have a better sense of control over the situation.
Once you know about prioritizing your task it will help your production if you could Overcoming your Fear of Talking to Strangers
Overcoming your Fear of Talking to Strangers
Can be achieved if you back things down in chunks. For example like playing chess "First I do this, and then I do this, and then I do this."
Be prepared and know what you're going to say, don't wing-it. Study your materials; prepare your notes; role play what you will say and record it. When you make the call just think - "First I'll say this, then I'll say this."
Focus your attention on the hostess , not you.
If you're in a state of fear - you're thinking of you instead of them. Put 100% of your attention on them and what they most need to hear from you. Rarely do you sound "stupid" if you're focused on helping them get the information they need.
Now that you understand the importance of Becoming Organized and Productive, Prioritizing Your and Overcoming your Fear of Talking to Strangers, you'll probably approach your calls in a whole new light.
Now get out there and call you potential hostesses

How to Advertise Home Jewelry Direct Sales Parties

Working at home as a party plan jewelry consultant and becoming one of the home based party businesses in your area can be a fantastic option for moms looking to stay at home with their children. You've found the perfect company to work with. You've ordered your supplies and set up your open house. But now what? How do you advertise your home jewelry parties?
First, never underestimate the power of a well-made business cards  for home based party businesses. Never get caught without one! You should make it your goal not only to make sure that you have some of your business cards in your wallet at all times, but that your hostesses and customers have at least one of your cards in their wallets as well.
How do you do this? The best way to do this is to incent your customers to carry your cards. You can do this in a few ways. First, you can write on the back of your cards "This card good for 10% off any necklace in our line", giving your customers a discount on re-orders.
But don't just give them one card! Give them at least one more business card that has a place for them to write their names, and says on the back something like, "Get a free pair of earrings when your friend attends an opportunity meeting." Now, don't give away the farm, but do incent  customers to send you leads. Choose a small, under $10 item from your party plan jewelry line that would make your customer excited about receiving it, but wouldn't put you in the poor house buying it.
Your business card marketing doesn't stop there! Many party plan jewelry reps play games during their demonstrations. One of my favorite is where you ask guests to dig through their purses, giving them 5-10 points for having items like a pen, tissues, a quarter, house keys, and the like. Have guests stand as they find the item so that you can keep track of points.
Then, ask who has one of your business cards in their wallet. Well, chances are, no one will stand. After all, they just met you! But then start to pass out cards, and offer 20 points for those who do! Suddenly, the entire room has your cards in their wallet! The prize for the winner can be some candy or if your company offers their home based party businesses samples or trinkets, use that instead.
Another way to advertise your party plan jewelry business is to take the concept of a business card and bring it online. Create a graphic (or have one created for you) that showcases your involvement with your company, and use it in your social media efforts, as sort of an online business card. Talk about your parties, your products, and your sales to your online friends. Get your company listed in a niche directory. You never know when someone online might turn into the perfect local hostess, or even do a book show for you long distance.
And more importantly, you never know where your next party plan jewelry team member will come from! Many women are now joining jewelry companies online, without ever coming in contact with a person.

Theme Party Ideas for Home Party Direct Sales

A list of party themes can be a party plan consultant's best friend. If you have ever been to direct sales home parties in the past, you have probably been to at least a few that have simply involved a consultant standing in front of guests stating information about their company's products. Even though home party direct sales are still popular, this style is not.
The typical party host today prefers to have a themed party that allows them to interact with guests, which is sure to be more fun and encourages more sales. Here is a list of party themes for your home party direct sales business.
1. Holiday Shopping Party for Kids Only
Kids always love the idea of shopping on their own for parents or other adults. For this type of party, you can print up flyers to hand out to parents announcing the event. Be sure to include the amount of money that would be appropriate for each attendee to bring with them for each gift. You will need helpers ready to assist the kids as they pick out gifts.
A nice touch would be to provide supplies for making cards to go with the gifts.
2. Holiday Open House
It is always a good idea to invite guests to your home with a Holiday Open House event. Invite everyone on your list to come shop for holiday gifts. Make sure to plan plenty of fun into this event to get your guests excited.
3. Office Party for Secret Santa
Get in touch with businesses in your area to ask if you can set up a Secret Santa party in the break room. The best time to set up your party is during lunchtime or at a time when employees are getting ready to leave work.
Your table can be set up with $20 or less items.
4. Ladies Night Out
A home party direct sales business is not complete unless you have at least one variation on the Ladies Night Out concept. Have your hostess invite moms who just want a good excuse to get out of the house. You can serve margaritas with chips and salsa.
5. Couples Party
If your hostess is booking a party in January or February, it might be fun to offer her the option on having a couple's party. Guests bring husbands and boyfriends along for the show, and play games like variations on the newlywed game. As an added bonus, men tend to spend money more easily, especially when they are having fun!
This is just a short list of party themes that will help boost your home party direct sales.

How to increase Attendance at Your Direct Sales Parties

We're heading into the most busy and lucrative time of year in the direct selling industry. I always loved the fall because the products were fun and I was doing lots of home parties (which I also loved). The thing I loved most about doing home parties was how much fun it was to be a part of the group. I loved creating an experience for my host and her friends that brought everyone together. Part of that experience relies on the host having a party full of fun guests. That's always important, but during the fall it's essential, because so much of your income for the year comes from those parties.
My Calendar - blank calendar for kids
So the million dollar question is, how do you support your host in filling up her living room with guests?
Here are five of my best ideas:
  1. Make sure your hosts chooses a theme. I always ask participants at my live events, "Would you rather attend a bread and water party or a Mexican Fiesta?" Get it? A theme says "Come party with me" not "come to my house and spend money."

  2. Create and send a fun, compelling invitation that features that theme. And no, your company's simple post card invitations really don't count. Honestly, think of your reaction the last time you received a post card invitation in the mail to another home party. How excited were you to attend? See what I mean.

  3. Create a relationship with your host prior to her party. Host coaching is the key to success in the party plan business. Period. Your host will work hard at promoting your party and making it a success if she feels a connection with you and likes you. And a nice added perk to host coaching is that, if you're offering your opportunity to your host as part of that experience, you'll generally sponsor 1 out of every five to seven hosts.

  4. Give your host clear instructions. This is so important. I say all the time people won't open their mouths if they don't know what to say. And I've found that people generally do what they're told. So give your host a goal to make follow up calls at least two days prior to her party and do a little role playing that shares some enthusiastic language about how much fun the theme is going to be so she knows what to say. Some consultants even take on this task for their hosts. Just make sure it's getting done.

  5. Follow-up often. Believe it or not, your party isn't as big a priority for your host as it is for you. And you want them to understand that you're there to support them. So, make a follow up call about a week prior to the party just to touch bases and share your excitement for her upcoming party. Then follow up at least two days prior to the party to remind her to make follow-up calls and the day before the party to make final plans.
The bottom line is, you hopefully have more parties booked from September through November than any other time of the year, and it's up to you to give your host the tools she needs to fill up those parties so you get the results you want, for her and yourself. The host is the catalyst, so take some time to think about how you support her and to implement some of the five tips above. And if you've got a great tip for filling up your parties with enthusiastic guests, I'd love to hear it.

How to improve your home party presentation skills

The presentation is the most important aspect of selling products in the home party plan business. It’s what will show your prospects you really know the products you are selling and is what will motivate them to make purchases. It can also encourage possible recruits to become a part of the business as well. Knowing how to present the products in a way that is aesthetically appealing and pleasing to the ear really makes the difference between potential customers who are still in the “thinking about it” phase and those who have decided to buy onsite.

1. Create an experience for your home party attendees and prospects. You know what they say, if you have a good experience you will tell at least 3 people. However when a bad experience is had, you will tell at least 10 people!    check out  Presentation Skills 201: How to Take it to the Next Level as a Confident, Engaging Presenter
2. Plan: Plan the whole presentation, plan your invites, plan your arrangement, plan the role that you want your hostess to take, plan the drinks, the eats and the games...remember we are looking to create an experience, at the risk of beating a dead horse, When You fail to plan, you are planning to fail!
3. Demonstrate Don't Lecture: Be Interactive, Ask Questions.  No Verbal Diarrhea please do so. I know a lot of folks love to hear the sound of their own voices. However when the crowds eyes are glazed over, practically willing you to put a lid on it, I am here to tell you that YOU ARE THE WEAKEST LINK, GOOD-BYE! Nothing kills a sale than verbal diarrhea.
4. You know what they say, "If Mohamed cannot come to the mountain, the mountain will come to Mohammed!" Take the home party presentation the homes of people. Don't expect people to go out of their way to accommodate you.
5. Be customer centric : Follow Up and Follow through. What good is it to do a great home party demo and then not deliver products that have been ordered?  Remember a happy customer is one who will continue buy from you and boost your home party sales!  Use

How to book more home parties & increase your earnings

One of the questions I get asked the most by the ladies in the party plan business  is "how do I get more party bookings?" I've put together a few ideas based upon my own experience. Simply work on these suggestions and you can also be a successful party planner - whatever you choose to sell.
Having parties should be like skipping over stepping stones. One should always lead to another. Yes, there may be a gap here and there to leap across but the trick is to keep getting regular bookings and making one thing lead onto the next.

1. Open House

A particularly easy way to add a booking to your diary is to host a party yourself! Have an open house in your own home to start with or when business is quiet or a special event or sale is coming up (at Easter or Christmas). Display your product range and invite all your friends, family, neighbours, work colleagues, basically everyone you know.
Make sure it is at a time to suit most of them and make it clear that it is an informal drop-in. By all means give out invitations, but suggest they simply drop by for a coffee and catch up. People are busy and they don't want to commit to sitting in your home for three hours! Make it easy for them to say yes. Always remind them a couple of days before too!

2. Networking

If you are serious about your business, then you should breathe your business, which means being a super-fly networker! Always have a leaflet or business card on you and don't miss an opportunity to mention your successful enterprise next time you are at the hairdressers, the dentist or even on holiday! Be confident and proud of what you do and you will get extra bookings this way - keep trying and it will work!

3. Party Swaps

A great way to get more party bookings is by having "party swaps". You simply get in touch with the local reps in your area who work for other direct sales companies. You have a party or coffee morning for them at your place with your friends then set a date to go to their home with your products and meet a whole new group of people - with the clear intention that one or two of their friends book future parties with you!!

4. Incentives

You should offer your party host some kind of gift, whether it be an item on special offer or discount based on your sales. You might also like to try increasing your actual bookings by offering all the people attending a party a gift for actually booking with you there and then. You may be cutting into your profits by giving things away but if this brings in more bookings then consider it an essential part of your marketing budget.

5. Local Events, Fundraisers and Local Businesses

The more events you attend, the more people you will come into contact with which means more potential party hosts. Not only will you be able to sell your goods directly to customers and collect orders at an event like a  church or school craft and vendor  fair, wedding expos  or a Christmas fundraiser, you could also collect names and contact details by running a free prize draw or competition.
Ask to display the products in a local school staff room for a day or at your doctor's surgery or supermarket. Have 'parties' or arrange 'fairs' with other direct sellers at playgroups or nurseries, children's soft play centres, leisure centres, parks or village halls!

6. Contacts

It pays to be organised and keep a list of all customers, enquiries, party hosts, potential party hosts. Include their contact details and a note about the last contact you had with them. You may be able to remember clearly your first dozen contacts but what about 50 or 100 names! The information you have becomes worthless if you can't remember why you scribbled down someone's name last Christmas - did they want to have a party this Christmas?
Use these precious contacts to book more parties by perhaps sending a newsletter out every few weeks  (check out .Constant Contact makes it easy and affordable to build strong relationships with your customers. Try our FREE 60-Day Trial.) You could perhaps offer a prize to the first three people to book parties! Don't forget to personally follow up all the contacts (preferably with a phone call) as people are often too busy to contact you but may be very interested in your products and having a party.

7. Online Parties

If you are looking for new avenues to increase your direct sales then this is the latest trend. An online party is hosted in a chat room which means the world is literally your oyster as far as who you invite! Preparation includes searching for sites which offer free online party chat rooms, sending email invitations and possibly posting messages on a few of your favourite chat rooms inviting more people.
You could offer a small gift to everyone who attends or give a prize to one of the guests. As with all parties, give incentives or free postage if they order during the party. Include games, and let them know about you and the benefits of your products. Give it a try!

8. Reputation, professionalism and 'word of mouth'

Don't underestimate the power of 'word of mouth' and how you conduct yourself - especially in the party plan business! Your style and persona will have a direct effect on whether you get more bookings. Remember to be professional and courteous at all times as your actions say a lot about you. This doesn't mean you can't be friendly and fun as your reputation for giving great parties (or dull ones) will spread quickly through circles of friends.
Always aim to improve upon things, perhaps giving out a questionnaire once in a while or asking friends for tips and feedback. Whatever you may be 'selling', do remember that you are hosting 'parties' so make them fun, informative and entertaining.

9. Re-bookings

Another simple way to increase bookings is to ask your host to re-book. It could be added to your bookings diary months in advance, perhaps before a special even like the host's birthday for example. Offer an extra incentive or discount if they re-book there and then, perhaps explaining that you will pencil it in and can confirm a fixed date nearer the time.

10. Marketing

Think of this as speculating to accumulate. Unless you have an excellent reputation, have been trading for decades and rely solely on word of mouth then you will have to devise a marketing plan for promoting your business. However, this need not cost the earth and will only lead to more bookings if it is targeted at the correct people! Set yourself a marketing budget and review every type of promotional activity you do. The results should help you plan your next move.
